8.6 Dismantle the VTG unit together with the gas inlet casing




- Remove sealing air ring guide (A) from the VTG unit.
- Retaining plates (56121) are fitted.
- Loosen nuts (69009).
- Remove gas inlet casing (51001) together with VTG unit (56100).

CAUTION

When screws (56122) and retaining plates (56121) have been taken off, the gas inlet casing (51001) is no longer securely attached.


- Loosen screws (56122) and retaining plates (56121) and remove with clamping ring (56122).
- Remove the clamping ring (56112).
- Carefully separate gas inlet casing (51001) from the VTG unit (56100) and remove.


CAUTION

Work on the VTG unit must only be performed by a trained fitter from an official ABB Turbo Systems service station.
