Engine Camshaft
The camshaft consists of a number of sections each having a shaft piece with exhaust cams, fuel cams, coupling parts and indicator drive cams. The exhaust cams and fuel cams are made of steel, with a hardened roller race, and are shrunk onto the shaft. They can be adjusted and dismantled
hydraulically.
The cam for the indicator drive can be adjusted mechanically. The coupling parts are shrunk onto the shaft and can be adjusted and dismantled hydraulically. The camshaft bearings consist of one lower halfshell fitted in a bearing support. The camshaft is lubricated by the main lubricating oil system.
